CUNY, a public institution, located in vibrant, diverse and world-class New York City, is committed to making excellence inclusive. A comprehensive effort is underway to make the most of our diversity; nearly half of our instructional and classified staff represents various federally protected groups. The majority of our students are also from federally protected groups, and almost half do not speak English as a native language. Realizing numerical diversity is necessary but not sufficient, CUNY recently created the Office of Recruitment and Diversity (ORD), with the goal of achieving sustainable diversity. Towards this end, ORD supports the success of all faculty and staff, with a special emphasis on diversity and academic excellence.
We are looking for highly qualified candidates just like you. With 23 colleges serving 462,000 students, CUNY could, very well, have a place for you. Gain exposure to any appropriate opening in the University system by forwarding a copy of your vita to ORD@mail.cuny.edu

The National Society for American Indian Elderly (NSAIE) was established in 1987 as a 501 (c) (3) organization to imporove the quality of life for on-reservation American Indian senior citizens by supporting a network of tribally established and administered services. These quality of life improvements are enhanced by the assignment of a VISTA volunteer to focus on the needs of the tribal senior centers for community health services such as nutrition and in-home services, social/wellness activities, and area specific activities approved by the program. The NSAIE is managed by an American Indian Board of Directors who live and work with the American Indian elderly whom they serve. The NSAIE serves as the sponsor for the VISTA Volunteers that are assigned to member tribes and currently serve over 15,000 elders nationwide.
