Congressional Budget Office - Economic Policy Fellowships
The Congressional Budget Office's (CBO's) economic policy fellowships establish a vital link between the research community and the agency. CBO provides the Congress with objective, timely, nonpartisan analyses to assist economic and budgetary decisions and with the information and estimates required for the Congressional budget process. That subject matter demands a broad reach because it reflects the wide array of activities that the federal budget covers and the major role that the budget plays in the U.S. economy.
Fellowships can provide experienced economists with a unique opportunity to address complex budgetary and economic policy issues. CBO is especially looking for people specializing in macroeconomics, health economics, financial economics, and public finance but welcomes applications from economists working in other areas. Fellows conduct research, use the agency's data and facilities, and work daily with colleagues at CBO to contribute to analyses and publications. Fellows are also able to participate in professional development opportunities and are in an excellent position to draw on the resources of professionals at CBO and other federal agencies, as well as the extended policy community in Washington, D.C.

Wildlife Conservation Society Graduate Fellowship Program
The WCS Graduate Fellowship Program (GFP) provides graduate education opportunities to exceptional conservationists from North American indigenous groups. Individuals are selected based on their potential to become conservation leaders, influencing local or national conservation. WCS believes that effective conservation ultimately depends on trained, knowledgeable individuals working in the field with an understanding of the local environment and cultural context. In addition, effective conservation requires information and future conservationists need to be able to appreciate and understand the potential and limits of knowledge. Graduate-level education provides a strong foundation and background in science that will enhance the Fellow’s effectiveness as a conservation professional.
The GFP assists selected scholars in identifying an appropriate institution of study; the award covers the costs of graduate school application fees, preparation and fees for exams such as the GRE and TOEFL, and other instruction as needed. Once matriculated, the GFP provides $30,000 towards tuition, room, board and a stipend, with the exact arrangement dependent upon the institution the fellow chooses to attend.
Each year, WCS field staff nominates applicants by March 1. Applications without WCS endorsement will not be considered. Applicants are notified of decisions in September, and tuition awards begin with matriculation the following year.
